Ironwood's Closest to the Pin Contests

The Ironwood Closest to the Pin contest is one of the most popular driving range competitions in the Buffalo and Western New York area, giving golfers a fun shot at big prizes without playing a full round. Held on our newly renovated driving range multiple times throughout the season, each competition runs for a limited time — sometimes just a few days, sometimes a full week.

It’s an exciting, low-commitment way to compete and win at Ironwood — perfect for a quick visit to the range or as a warmup before your round.

For $20, participants receive a full range bucket with three specially marked red balls — the only balls eligible for the contest. Hit your red balls toward the target, and if one lands closer than the current leader, notify a staff member.

Prizes vary by event and typically range from $400 to $1,000.

Entry: $20 (includes full range bucket). Extra red balls available for $5 each.
